Summer 2013 Mission Trip to Rwanda!

Here are just a few memories from this summer's mission trip to Rwanda with Covenant Presbyterian Church. Families serving families, it was an amazing trip.

On that Sunday, the mission trip worshiped with the rural community that they were serving all week.

Definitely not your usual worship service :)

Smiles all around!

We worked on three houses for widows.

Not the most glamorous job!

Being that we were in Africa, there had to be a football (soccer) challenge. The US team won!
The house dedication ceremony.

The team visited CPAJ (Centre Presbytérienne Pour L'amour des Jeunes) which is a rehabilitation center for street children.

We have been in Rwanda since Friday, we finally have access to the internet that doesn't cut off every 5 mins to be able to access the blog.
After a few hours on the plane, by few, I mean 26hrs we finally made it to the hustle and bustle of Kigali.
Saturday was a relaxing day, the group visited the Genocide Memorial (we'll do a few personal posts) and got over their jet lag.
This picture is just a hint of what the worship service was like on Sunday. Jay, preached on Acts 3 and even though the worship service lasted for 4hrs.

Stay tuned for more.... I have to join the group for dinner but you'll surely get to hear more soon from the Land of a Thousand Hills.

July 2013 Mission Trip: RWANDA

In July of 2013, Legacy Mission Village is sending a team to Rwanda to check in on some of our currently running programs and spend time with the families being served.

While there, our team will be visiting the Kanombe Church and meet the children for whom we have provided food and school fees for the 2013 school term. Through Hannah Ministries, these children are being given the nutrition that they require along with the school education that they so greatly need.

The team will also be visiting the Women's Entrepreneurial Program to distribute 50 goats, purchased by Legacy Mission Village, to HIV+ patients and repairing / roofing the homes of 3 program participants.

Please remember the trip participants in your prayers, offering prayers for them and for the individuals and families who they will be visiting. Check back with the blog for images and testimonies from this trip.
